My Approach to Professional Development

It may sound surprising, but my approach to professional development is deeply philosophical. One of the lesser-known insights from the history of philosophy is that it begins not with abstract theories, but with moods—moods that shape how we show up in our professions. Care, wonder, perplexity, anxiety, and uncertainty are not just emotional states; they are the starting points of insight, presence, and ethical responsiveness.

In my work, I focus on how these moods influence the way you practice your profession. True development doesn’t happen in a vacuum—it emerges from the challenges of lived experience. It is in those moments of uncertainty, complexity, or even doubt that your professional confidence and wisdom can take root and grow.

I work with psychologists, psychotherapists, managers, and leaders who want to deepen their practice—not just through techniques, but by understanding the emotional and philosophical foundations of their work. Together, we explore how reflection grounded in real experience can lead to more thoughtful, responsive, and transformative action.
